Jeff was used to making his body do what he needed it to do. He pushed himself as an athlete and won an NCAA national championship for Wisconsin. But, when he his knee arthritis was keeping from being the dad and active person he wanted to be, he decided to get a knee replacement. Nothing went right: the motion, the pain, the recovery, etc. He never was evaluated for infection until I met him. We found the infection three years after his surgery on the first day I met him and began a long road back to recovery with two surgeries on the same knee. But,… IT WORKED! And Jeff is active and doing everything he hadn’t done in years.
