Susquehanna Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Society

One of Dr. Maish’s patients made a donation in his name to be used for education or medical care. Dr. Maish used it to start an annual meeting for all of the residencies of central Pennsylvania to get together and share their research and discuss innovations in adult reconstruction. The initial meeting began in 2017 and has allowed visiting professors to share their expertise with residents and faculty at the four different programs. Mike Behrend, Carl Deirmengian, and Matt Phillips were the first three visiting professors. Alumni speakers also have participated which has allowed for outstanding educational experiences and ability for surgeons to share things they have learned in fellowship and early years of practice with their residency programs.
